The Things I Need...

I stole this idea from my cousin Heather whom I recently found her blog and so glad that I did, she makes me laugh and ponder life with every post. But what you do is go to Google, and search your name followed by "needs" here is, apparently, what I need according to the world wide web:

-to have JavaScript (I know this is computer related but yes I DO need some caffeine in my body especially after the sleepless night last night thanks to me kids, I can't keep my eyes open)
-an assessment on child protection (um should I be scared for my children's safety?)
-strengthening (if you can see my flabby body that just goes without saying)
-its borders to be better patrolled (I just found out the Makelle is the capital city in Tigray, never knew that, but maybe I need to watch out for my safety?)
-the work (not the work I do enough of that already with 3 kids, just the money that comes along with it)
-children (no thanks I already have enough)
-food, shelter and clothing (yes I think we all do right? I am blessed to have all those right now)
-a cure for HIV and AIDS (not for me of course, but then I could make a ton of money and pay off all of our loans, wouldn't that be nice)

So I guess the internet knows what I need better than I do, hillarious, you should all try it.

Happy Valentines Day!

We want to let you all know how much we love all of our friends and family. We haven't had the best day Ashlyn has the stomach flu and it came out the top end this morning and has been coming out the bottom end ever since. But after some Zofran and Imodium AD she is starting to perk up and get a little bit of color back. So my valentines day has been full of runny bodily fluids, and lots of cleaning agents. Hopefully it doesn't last long and no one else gets sick. Hope you all have a great day full of love, hugs and kisses.

Ashlyn and Coleman opening their gifts. Ashlyn got a big box of sidewalk chalk and Coleman got a tennis racket and tennis balls. Coleman and Jeremy went and tried out the new racket and then they both went out and made our back patio the most colorful in the neighborhood.

Landon showing off how big he is in his cute little Valentine outfit. He loves standing and does it every chance he gets.

Major Decisions

So I have to make a major life altering decision, what color of hair to do I want? I grew up blond and was blond until I had Coleman 5 years ago then I went short and dark. Since then I have been every shade of brown in the book (or hair color scheme). So I recently decided that I wanted to lighten up and after 2 times at the hair stylist my hair is grey and I hate it. It has a lot of brown and blond so all together it looks grey, yuck. So I have been asking and now I will post for all of you to decide, should I go all the way blond or just go back to brown? I will post the pros and cons for both and some photos of me as well. Don't just pick blond because I was flipping hot back then remember that I have had 3 kids and 6 years of sleepless night. Just look at the color not how much I have aged. Thanks. And another sad thing about me, I NEVER do my hair. I know I don't do it that much, but as I have been searching for pictures of me with different hair colors, I never realized how much my hair is pulled back in a pony tail, every single picture -pretty pathetic. Sorry Jeremy I never realized just how lazy I am. So here we go:

Blond Pros:

  • my family likes me as a blond
  • blonds are hot
  • I think it makes me look younger

Blond Cons:

  • dry unhealthy hair
  • costs ALOT to keep up
  • have to have it done every 6-8 weeks
  • dark roots

Brown Pros:

  • brunettes are beautiful
  • healthier and silkier hair
  • Jeremy likes me as a brunette (but it might be just because of the $)
  • cheaper and I can do it myself

Brown Cons:

  • I look like everyone else that is a brunette (like 90% of the world population)
  • when my lighter roots grow in they look like my hair is grey
  • I do have to do it myself

So now you need to comment and let me know what color I should go, don't be biased on what you know me as, just make an honest decision. I will tally up the results and show a picture of what I finally decided to do.

Virginia Ice Storm

A couple weeks ago, we woke up to a little ice storm. It had rained and then everything froze. Every branch on the trees were covered with ice and tiny little ice cycles. It had also hailed a little and there was perfect tiny balls of ice covering the ground. It was so beautiful I had to take a few pictures. These are shots out my back porch, there is about 20 feet of "wild land" between our apartment complex and the next so it is just covered with trees and shrubs. I am really going to miss beautiful Virginia when we leave here in about 3 months.
