Tour of California

Last month I was able to take some time off and go visit my dear friend Steven C. Chandler in Visalia, CA. The reason for the trip? A little event I like to call the 2nd best stage race in the U.S. behind the Tour of Utah of course. We had a good time and followed the race for three days logging over a thousand miles in the car.

Lance Armstrong riding right by me and Steve to the start of the race in Visalia.

You can't gain a true appreciation for how fast these guys go on the bike until you see it in person. It's pretty incredible.
Lance Armstrong starting off the day denying allegations that he has doped.

Me and Dave Zabriskie. He was the race leader at the start of the day. Looks like I only have a few more lbs. to lose before I become a world class cyclist.

Steve with his idol Mark Cavendish. Cavendish is the best sprinter in the world and Steve had a hard time keeping his composure as you can see.
