Christmas, New Year, Utah, etc

I have a lot to catch up on. We flew to Utah to be with family for the holidays and so Jeremy could do an externship with a dentist. We were gone for a whole month and a lot happened while we were there. We had Christmas and New Years and spent a lot of time with our families and friends. Jeremy did a 2 week externship to see what dentistry was like in the real world. He really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot while he was there. We met with a couple dental reps while there to talk about dentistry, but now we are even more confused about what to do with our lives and Jeremy's career. It still looks like we are heading in the direction of Utah, but from there we are not yet sure. Here are a bunch of pictures and a few explanations about our adventures while in Utah.

1. Santa came to our ward party (in Richmond) Coleman asked him for a "Kung Fu Panda" toy and Ashlyn was too scared to even look him in the eyes, so I guess she doesn't get anything from the big man this year. And Jeremy had Coleman ask Santa if he would bring him a touch iPod, but Santa said that Jeremy would have to come sit on his lap himself and ask him that. He never got one so I guess he never made it to see Santa this year, there is always next year.
2. Coleman and Ashlyn at aunt Megan and uncle Paul's house. They sat on the big presents and serenaded us with Christmas carols.
3. We took a trip to squaw peak and went sledding and snowmobiling on Paul's latest and greatest snowmobile, it was a blast.
4. We had Christmas morning at the Guenters. Here is the cute little tree and all the gifts that Santa brought.
5. Ashlyn got her first Barbie this Christmas from Grandma Erickson. A monumental right of passage for every girl, I am so proud of my little Ashy.
6. After it snowed about 2 feet in one day we took Coleman sledding behind the Provo temple. He had a blast but got tired walking back up the hill every time. His favorite part was watching BaPa go down, fall out of the sled and roll the rest of the way down.
7. Dad's hugs are the best.
8. It snowed like crazy while we were there so we had to go out and make a snowman with the kids.
9. A few days before Christmas we went and saw a couple of Santa's reindeer at Thanksgiving point. Coleman loved them and even petted them, Ashlyn wasn't too thrilled with the whole idea of getting so close to animals with big antlers on their heads.
10. Another sledding trip up Provo canyon, this time Ashlyn went and loved it. When she finally does something she usually ends up loving it, she is actually quite a dare devil if she wants to do it.
1. Grandma Erickson bought all her granddaughters matching dresses and grandsons sweaters. It took about 5 different times, but we finally got all the kids together to get a picture for grandma and it was quite an ordeal with 13 little munchkins running around.
2. Cheap child labor, and they actually volunteered to do this.
3. Coleman, aunt Megan and her dog Amos. Coleman LOVES that dog and one days hopes to have a dog like him, we will see.
4. After Christmas we went to the Erickson's cabin to go snowmobiling and play in the snow. The kids loved it with all their cousins out playing in the snow. Ashlyn and her look alike cousin Campbell. Ashlyn loved the snowmobiles and cried after I was too cold to drive her around any longer, I guess she has no nerve endings in her face, feet or hands because mine were frozen.
5. Another sledding trip up Provo canyon. Coleman and Ashlyn would go down the long trail all by themselves.
6. Christmas morning opening up the biggest box, and inside was the best gift - a check.
7. Jeremy was too tired to walk so Coleman pulled him back up the hill to take another run on the sled.
8. Uncle Wade with Calli and Landon. We took the kids to the Mayan restaurant to watch the divers. They all loved it and now Gage is determined to have a waterfall and pool just like that in his bedroom one day, maybe the divers with come along with it also.
9. Ashlyn got her first hair cut while we were in Utah. I ended up being really brave and cut almost 4 inches off her hair. It looks really cute and I actually got it pretty even.
10. Coleman and Brooklyn found grandma Erickson's dress ups and had a blast dressing up then dancing to music.

I am pretty jealous about the whole snow thing. Treyton tried to make snowballs and a snowman yesterday morning with the ice. He was so excited that it was kind of sad!
